Listed are the current modules available for EMS Pediatric CE. It is easy
to start a module just click on the module image or title and begin. You
will be given instruction in the process for obtaining CE upon completion of

The teaching in this module is presented in case study format involving a
15 month old male patient who suddenly began to have a convulsion with no
prior history of seizures, trauma or illness. Assessment, intervention,
pathophysiology, medication review and references are discussed.

The case study in this module involves a
10 year old female patient at school with an altered level of
responsiveness. Assessment, intervention, pathophysiology, medication review and references
are discussed.

A local little league game is in progress. EMS is called to respond to
the ball field for a child who is unconscious. Assessment,
differential diagnoses, pathophysiology, intervention, medication review and references are discussed.

Police have busted a residence that is a methamphetamine lab. An
8 year old child was removed from the home with respiratory distress who is
in the back seat of a police unit, EMS has been dispatched. Assessment, intervention, pathophysiology,
prevalence and task force guidelines are discussed.

The case study in this module is a 14 year old male patient with Down
Syndrome who was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Review of condition,
assessment, intervention, medication review and references are discussed.

EMS is dispatched to a residence for a child with severe respiratory
distress in this case study. Assessment, review of tracheostomy tubes, home
ventilators, CSF shunts, portacaths, treatment, and references are discussed.

A crew is dispatched to a residence for a child with altered level of
responsiveness. Altered mentation review, assessment, intervention, child
abuse reporting laws, risk factors and references are discussed.

A child has ingested some of grandmother's blood pressure medication and
is now pale and short of breath. This is the case study that will discuss
common toxic agents and medications, assessment, treatment,
poisoning review, statistics and references are discussed.

New Module Now Available. Your crew is dispatched to a home for a 13 month old male presenting with vomiting, diarrhea and fever. Pre-arrival notes state that there is a patient at this residence with CAH (Congenital
Adrenal Hyperplasia). Adrenal crisis management in the prehospital setting will be discussed that includes symptoms, pathophysiology, treatment and medication review.
