DOCTOR OF PHARMACY ADMISSIONS
General PharmD Description
The Doctor of
Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program consists of a
2-4 professional plan. The first two years
of prepharmacy courses may be completed at
the University of New Mexico or at any two-
or four-year college. Equivalent courses
taken at these schools will transfer as part
of the prepharmacy program. Verify
equivalencies with the UNM College of
Pharmacy advisement office.

To be considered for admission to the Doctor of
Pharmacy program requires
completion of:

all
prepharmacy courses
-
an
appropriate grade point average
-
a
completed PharmCAS application
-
completion of the PCAT
-
a
completed supplemental application, fee,
and recent passport-size
photo
-
three (3)
letters of recommendation
Once admitted
to the Doctor of Pharmacy program, the
student will have four years of professional
study.
Note:
Students must be admitted to the pharmacy
program to take pharmacy courses.
