The College recognizes the essential nature of research and scholarship in keeping faculty and staff at the forefront of their fields in educating professional pharmacists, graduate students, post docs, residents and fellows.  Having faculty who conduct cutting-edge research programs in pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice is central to the College offering dynamic and state-of-the-art teaching, clinical, experiential, and service programs.

The College of Pharmacy achieves its research goals through its two main areas: Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacy Practice.  Brief descriptions of the programmatic goals and objectives are found on the following pages, as well as links to specific research programs and interests of the faculty.

 

Because of the broad research interests and expertise of its faculty, the UNM College of Pharmacy is available to collaborate on projects involving drug development and pre-clinical research.  Please contact the College for further information.
