Course Description:
This course is geared toward the dental hygiene faculty member responsible for
teaching dental public health/community dental health within the dental hygiene
curriculum. This is the forth year for the workshop and it has become an annual
event. This workshop emphasizes networking groups to help educators enhance
their course, share ideas and brainstorm solutions to teaching dilemmas. These
networking groups further strengthen teaching concepts for dental public health
educators. The course will provide teaching strategies and techniques unique to
teaching dental public health. Strategies will be provided to ease the
transition of applying dental public health theories taught in class.
Date: October 1-3, 2008
Cost: $350 before September 15th -- $400 after September 15th per attendee
