Education
Professor Logothetis is Director of the UNM dental hygiene program and since her tenure has worked to develop and implement the entry-level Bachelor of Science Degree and the Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Degree Program. Areas of teaching specialties include anesthesiology, medical emergencies, clinical management and administration.
Professor Logothetis has published numerous articles in areas of research including sleep apnea, infection control, and clinical dentistry. She is the authors of High Yield Facts in Dental Hygiene published by Prentice Hall, and is currently working on a Dental Hygiene Review Textbook titled SUCCESS! In Dental Hygiene to be published by Prentice Hall in April 2008.
She is an editorial and textbook reviewer of many publications including the ACCESS, Journal of Dental Hygiene, RDH, and the International Journal of Dental Hygiene.
Recently, Professor Logothetis received the Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award from the University of Missouri Kansas City College of Dentistry, the Roy J. Reinhart Professional Excellence and Service Award from the University of Missouri Kansas City College of Dentistry and the Teaching Excellence Award from the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine
Professor Logothetis serves on many University and National committees. She has previously served as Chair of the American Dental Education Association Allied Dental Program Directors Council, and as President of Sigma Phi Alpha.
