Formal admission to the office of graduate studies at the University of
New Mexico is an initial requirement for admission the Master of Science
Degree Program in Dental Hygiene. Applications for graduate admission are
available from the Division of Dental Hygiene, University of New Mexico.
The Division of Dental Hygiene will recommend acceptance into the program;
however, final determination of admittance will be offered by the UNM Office
of Graduate Studies. The following documents must be submitted to the Division
of Dental Hygiene for admittance to the program:
Deadline: Both applications are due no later than January 31 for priority
admission status or April 15 for general admission. Admission is
for the fall semester. Those applicants who are provisionally selected
will be notified in May. All applicants will be notified of their
admission status. Selection will be given to qualified persons
regardless of their race, color, religion, national origin, age,
qualified disability or military involvement. Equal opportunity for
admission is given to all qualified applicants.
Advisement sessions are available from the Division of Dental Hygiene.
Applicants wishing to enroll in the Fall 2004 class can attend an
advisement session on Friday, November 14, 2003 from 1:00-2:00 or
Wednesday November 19, 2003 from 12:00-1:00. Call the office at (505)

A $50 application fee made out to the Division of Dental Hygiene is required
with the completed application. Only a check or money order is accepted.
