Roadway Express, in cooperation with the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine Dental Hygiene Program, sponsors tournaments throughout the year to help support the Carrie Tingley Dental Clinic.
Dental health is supported nationally by Roadway Express. In fact, Roadway Express sponsors Christina’s Smile, which is a program that, in cooperation with the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour, delivers dental treatment to disadvantaged children at no charge to them, their parents, or the identifying agencies.
New Mexico company leadership could not have selected a program more special program with greater need for private donations to fulfill this initiative locally. The Carrie Tingley Dental Clinic is one of just two in the state that exclusively provide dental care to individuals with developmental disabilities. Its focus is children affected with complex musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, rehabilitation needs, developmental issues, and long-term physical disabilities.
The Carrie Tingley Dental Clinic is struggling to function daily with outdated equipment in need of repair. With the rise in medical cost and limited support it has been increasingly difficult for the clinic to operate and continue to provide quality care for members of our community who face insurmountable challenges almost everyday.
