Paramedic Certification to College Credit Program
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY the terms and conditions below before agreeing to the financial responsibilty for credit conversion.
This program is for students who received their paramedic certification through UNM Emergency Medical Services Academy, the US Air Force Academy or the Albuquerque Fire Academy and now would like to convert the classes taken for certification into college credit hours in order to be able to apply them to a higher education degree.
UNM Bursar Disclaimer:
The fee to create the student record and post the courses with grades is
$75 per course. When you submit the form on the next page, you agree to accept
the Financial Responsibility for all Charges, Tuition, and Fees associated with
these changes.
There will be a minimum of 10-12 courses posted to your record in accordance with the year
you completed the course and the length of the course.
Example: Student who took the accelerated paramedic course should expect to
pay for 12 courses, or approximately $900. (12 x $75.00 = $900.00)

Once your request has been submitted, we will verify all courses taken and the grade received. The College Registrar will then create for you an official college transcript in their system. You will receive a bill from UNM for the fee mentioned above. This is not a quick process and may take 6-10 weeks to complete. Once your payment has been received and processed, you will be able to request a transcript from UNM.
