The Institute for Ethics is continuing the interdisciplinary Health Care Ethics Certificate Program begun by the former Health Sciences Ethics Program.
The program is designed for faculty, professionals, graduate students and others who are interested in the interdisciplinary study of health care ethics with an emphasis on applied clinical ethics, cultural competency and legal issues. Topics include professional responsibility, privacy and confidentiality, truth telling, end of life decision making, research ethics, health care reform, and issues in reproductive technologies.
Soon to begin Fall 2008 Registration
The Brown-Bag Ethics Journal Club is held every 4th Thursday of month at noon.
Any interested student, resident, faculty member or staff person is welcome to join.
Due to several requests we have changed the meetings from the first Thursday of the month
to the fourth Thursday of the month. The time will remain the same from 12:00 noon to
1:00 p.m. at the UNM Institute for Ethics located at 917 Vassar NE.
