Dr. Anne Simpson is the Rust Professor and Director of the Institute for Ethics.
She is also an Associate Professor with the Department of Internal Medicine/Division of
Geriatrics at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. In
addition, she is Chair of the Bio-Ethics Committee at the University
Hospital, and a Medical Director for Manzano Del Sol Long Term Care
Facility. Dr. Simpson also serves as the Physician Champion, for
long term care and homecare, for the New Mexico Medical Review
Association. Her medical practice centers on long term care,
homecare, hospice, and palliative medicine, with an added focus on
elder abuse and mistreatment. Dr. Simpson is a board member for
Uniting New Mexicans against Elder Abuse, and the New Mexico Ballet.
