Recent FCM News & Noteworthy Items:
Warren Heffron, M.D., former Chair of Family Medicine and current retired faculty member has received a very prestigious honor from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. Dr. Heffron is the recipient of the 2009 F. Marian Bishop Award. This award was established in 1990 in honor of Dr. F. Marian Bishop. The F. Marian Bishop Leadership Award is presented by the STFM Foundation to honor individuals who have significantly enhanced the academic credibility of family medicine by a sustained, long-term commitment to family medicine in academic settings.
