Current
Graduate Research Assistant, Emma Noyes (BA) is a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and a first-year student in the UNM Masters of Public Health program. After growing up in the reservation border town of Omak, Washington she moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington where she studied public health and anthropology and was actively involved in the urban Native community on and off campus. Following graduation she worked as a research coordinator for the Indigenous Wellness Research Institute (UW). Deeply passionate about the wellness of Native communities, she is honored to be working with the Center for Participatory Research on two projects and to be living on this beautiful land. Emma's studies are being generously supported by the Albuquerque Area Indian Health Board, Inc.
