Cardiac Catheterization Center

The UNM Cardiac Catheterization Center (also known as the UNM Cardiac Cath Lab, or simply the UNM Cath Lab) is committed to serving the invasive cardiac needs of the Albuquerque and New Mexico community and to the continued development of a high quality, cutting edge, academic program in cardiovascular intervention.

The Cardiac Cath Center operates 24 hours-a-day/7days-a-week. The Cath Center is staffed by experienced full-time interventional cardiologists and offers the full gamut of interventional cardiac care. The Cath Center works closely with referring physicians on the UNM campus, locally, and throughout the state.

In the spring of 2009, the new UNM Cardiac Catheterization Center opened and comprises 10,000 square feet of procedure and recovery rooms, reception and waiting area, and administrative offices.

UNMH Opens New Cardiac Catheterization Center

On May 11, 2009, U.S. Representative Martin Heinrich joined UNM Hospital officials for the grand opening of the new UNM Cardiac Catheterization Center, located in UNM Hospital.
