Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation

Trauma Fellowship Program Structure

The fellow is assigned to and works closely with one of the attending physicians on a rotating basis. The fellow is expected to be the surgeon/first assistant on approximately 200 trauma cases. Outpatient surgery is done in a state-of-the-art University outpatient surgical center within walking distance from the main University Hospital. The fellow covers both private and public clinics and is assisted by orthopaedic residents. Fellows participate in two conferences per week devoted solely to the trauma fellowship program. In addition, fellows will take part in the trauma curriculum of the orthopaedic residency program.
