Selection Process
Interviews
The top candidates will be invited to the Occupational Therapy Graduate
Program at the University of New Mexico for an interview and an
extemporaneous sample of their writing ability in mid-February. Final
selection will be made from this group of candidates.
Selection Criteria
- Up to 24 students will be selected for the Occupational Therapy
Graduate Program.
- Selection will be based on:
- Transcript evaluation, which includes GPA (last 50 credits)
and prerequisite grades
- Letter of intent
- Written materials, letters of reference, and application. We
are especially interested in your life experiences including
volunteer/work experience and community involvement, and
regional bilingual skills.
- Interview and on-site writing sample
- Students may apply while still enrolled in undergraduate courses or
prerequisite courses if all courses will be completed before the start
of the professional curriculum. Students will need to supply evidence of
enrollment in prerequisite courses.
- The selection process does not discriminate against any student on
