Application Information

Overview

Applicants must complete a bachelors degree in their discipline of choice and the following prerequisite courses with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to be considered for admission into the Occupational Therapy Graduate Program. Prerequisite courses must be completed within the past five years. Also, it is strongly recommended that you successfully complete Technical and Professional Writing (ENGL 219) or equivalent for undergraduate or graduate level credit. See the Application Instructions for information on prerequisite course waivers. Students enrolled in other institutions must compare the catalog descriptions of the prerequisite courses at UNM and the institution they are attending to assure equivalency of content. In addition, it is strongly recommended that students volunteer to work with an occupational therapist to explore the role of occupational therapy prior to applying to the graduate program.
