Division of Adolescent Medicine
The Division of Adolescent Medicine is responsible for seeing patients in a variety of settings: Sequoyah Adolescent Treatment Center, Job Corps, Northeast Heights Clinic, Residents' Continuity Clinic, in addition to teaching and supervising Pediatric residents and doing research. Currently, referrals can be made only to the Northeast Heights Clinic for Dr. Strasburger (call the main appointment #, 272-2700). We anticipate that a UNMH Adolescent Clinic will open sometime in the near future with the addition of an Adolescent Medicine Nurse Practitioner.
The Division physicians are comfortable seeing teenagers with any sort of problem, from acne to contraception, from sports injuries to psychological problems. Both Dr. Strasburger and Dr. Kong are Board Certified in both Adolescent Medicine and Pediatrics.
