Division of General Pediatrics
The Division of Ambulatory/General Pediatrics offers both primary and secondary pediatric care and consultative services including:
- Health Promotion and Disease Prevention
- Pre-Sports and Pre-School Examinations
- Emergency Care of Children and Adolescents
- Well Child Care
- Camp
- Sick Care
Consultation is available in child development, behavioral problems,
learning disabilities, child abuse and sexual assault, out-of-home care and
general in-hospital consultation.
Except for acute life-threatening trauma or illness, all patients are seen
in the general pediatric clinic from 8:00 AM - 7:30 PM weekdays and 9:00 AM
to 2:00 PM on Saturdays. The pediatric staff is available to the emergency
room and urgent care clinic during off-hours.
The Division of General Pediatrics delivers excellent pediatric ambulatory
care at the General Pediatric Clinic,
Young
Children's Health Center,
Westside Clinic, and the inpatient services of the Women and Baby Unit
at the University Hospital of the New Mexico Health Sciences Center.
