Welcome to The Human Research Protections Office (HRPO)

We support The HSC Human Research Review Committees (HRRC) And The Main Campus Institutional Review Board (IRB)

The HRRCs and the Main Campus IRB are institutional review boards (IRBs).  IRB committees are designated to protect the rights and welfare of research participants by reviewing and monitoring research involving human volunteers.

The HRRC reviews research involving human participants for:

Interested in Coordinator Training or Certification?

We are developing a "Research Coordinator University" for January 2010.  This 2-day intensive course will include many subjects to assist Coordinators in their everyday jobs.

We are also considering adding a 3rd day for SOCRA to offer certification as a Certified Clinical Research Professional. The certification would cost each individual around $270.

If you are interested in attending one or both of the offerings, or if you are interested in teaching or mentoring please email Sonja Dewing.
