Guiding Principles for Engaging in Research with Native American Communities
The HSC has held two symposia where community partners as well as HSC leadership, faculty, and staff presented information on their programs and partnerships. In addition attendees shared their expertise on the needs of their communities and how the HSC can be a better partner in an effort to help improve health and health equity in New Mexico.
The third Vision 2020 Symposium will be held on September 24th, 2012 from 1-5 PM at the UNM HSC with the opening happening from 1-2 pm in HSSB 105. This symposium will focus on further integrating recommendations from the community into our activities/strategies, measuring our impact on health an health equity, aligning strategies to improve health outomes, and holding ourselves accountable to the vision of partnering with communities to improve health and health equity.
