University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center
Purchased and installed in 1990, Genesis has become one of the most beloved pieces on our campus. The piece is made of welded and painted steel, and is located on the north plaza of the Cancer Research Facility.
The artist, Arthur Williams, holds several degrees including Doctor of Arts from Carnegie-Mellon University, and a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Mississippi. Williams is a very prolific artist and has over 300 pieces installed in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
