Regents' Committee
Members and Responsibilities
The University of New Mexico Regents' Health Sciences Committee was appointed by the UNM Board of Regents in 1994, for the purpose of reviewing matters related to the Health Sciences Center (HSC). Committee members are:
- Jack L. Fortner, Chair
- Don Chalmers, Vice Chair
- Carolyn Abeita
- Maralyn Budke, COB
- Maria Griego-Raby, COB
- William Rayburn, MD
Although the Health Sciences Committee has oversight of all the programs offered through the HSC, the primary focus of the committee is on excellence in health sciences education and research.
Committee Meetings
The UNM Board of Regents Health Sciences Committee will meet quarterly. Meetings begin at 1:00 P.M. in the Domenici Center-Room 3010 (3rd floor). A notice confirming the time and place will be sent prior to each Regent’s meeting per the Open Meetings Act. Following are the Board Meeting dates for 2009 and 2010:
