Christina Leon
Medical Assistant


Ms. Leon began working for the ACL Teen Centers in December 2002, as an on-site Medical Assistant and Administrative Assistant for Laguna-Acoma Teen Center. She has extensive experience as a Medical Assistant, with Delta Hospice, St. Joseph Health Care in the Internal and Family Medicine Clinics, and then at the ACL Hospital in Acomita, New Mexico, working in women's health, diabetes, and with chronic renal failure patients, taking vital signs, triaging, and charting reviews and procedures. As a member of the Pueblo of Laguna, Ms. Leon comes with knowledge of the cultural diversity of her community and contributes to the cultural awareness and competency of the clinical team. Having graduated from high school nearby in Grants, New Mexico, she received her certificate as a Medical Assistant from Pima Medical Institute, then her Child Development Associate's Certificate, and clinical training at Talbot Medical College in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
