Linda J. Peñaloza, Ph.D

Dr. Peñaloza is Principal Investigator for the New Mexico Youth Risk and Resiliency Survey, the statewide evaluation of the tobacco prevention program, the new Injury Prevention team, Comprehensive Cancer Program Evaluation, Healthier Weight Program Evaluation, Before and After School Nutrition Education Program Evaluation, Family & Youth Resource Act Program Evaluation (FYRA), Safe Schools Report and the Truancy Program Evaluation. Linda also serves as the Director of Communications for the Center, which includes the Center's newsletter (The Connection), HealthWise: A Bulletin for School and Community Health, our website, our fact sheet series, and other occasional publications. A Principal Investigator at CHPDP since March 2003, she is a survey researcher with over 25 years of experience, specializing in mass communications, sociological research methods, and public participation. Before coming to CHPDP, she was Director of the University of Wisconsin - Extension Survey Research Laboratory, and Executive Director of Real World Research in Madison, WI. Her educational background includes Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Sociology, and a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
