Ms. Peou began working with the Acoma
- Canoncito /To’Hajiilee - Laguna ( ACL) Teen Centers in
prevention as a Health Educator for eight months and then was promoted
to Health Education Manager in clinical services. Ms. Peou is currently
the Senior Program Manager for the ACL Teen Centers school-based
health care services. Ms. Peou is of Cambodian and Chinese descen
t and has extensive experience in HIV/AIDS prevention, program
administration and clinical services. She is responsible for program
development and implementation, including supervising staff, program
oversight, grant writing, contract negotiation, budget projection
and oversight, clinic coordination and administration, policy development
and assisting with strategic planning. She received a Bachelor
of Arts in Philosophy and English from Mount Holyoke College, and
a Master’s in Social Work with an emphasis in Social Development
from San Francisco State University. Throughout her career, Ms.
Peou’s commitments have always been to work with women, youth,
immigrant/refugee communities and communities of color on issues
of public health, health disparities, social justice, education
and healing. |
