Indian Health Service hospital. Provides both inpatient and outpatient services, supplemented by a number of field health programs, some of which are conducted by the Mescalero Tribe itself. Inpatient care generally consists of pediatric and medical care. Patients requiring surgical, orthopedic and other specialized services are referred to contract hospitals in the area, with follow-up care provided at the Mescalero Hospital when needed.
