The Overall Goals of NARCH are
to:
1) Encourage research on Health disparities affecting American Indian
people and, in particular, the tribes of New Mexico and southern Colorado.
2) Increase the number of American Indian scientists, students, health
professionals, and organizations in New Mexico engaged in health research,
who would be
competitive in securing funding from the National Institutes of Health and
the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
3) Build the capacity of both Albuquerque Area Indian Health
Board and the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center to work in
partnership to reduce distrust by American Indian Communities toward research.
