New Hires at the College

St. Vincent Regional Medical Center Partners with the College

The UNM College of Nursing and St. Vincent Regional Medical Center are partnering to provide an on-the-ground RN to BSN program to registered nurses in the Santa Fe area. The College has agreed to provide the RN to BSN curriculum and qualified instructors to teach onsite. St. Vincent is providing classroom space, material, technical support for the instructors, an onsite workspace, Internet access, and monetary support per term to help with costs for instructors.

Matteucci Faculty Fellowship Recipients

Faculty members Carolyn Montoya, MSN, PNP, RN, and Jim Stapleton MSN, FNP, RN, are this year’s Aladino and Nellie Matteucci Faculty Fellowship recipients. They will use the award to purchase an otoacoustic emission machine to test children’s hearing, which will be used at the UNM Faculty Practice Clinic, Child Care Center, and at various locations in and around Albuquerque, where students enrolled in pediatric courses will conduct physical exams. Congratulations, Carolyn and Jim!
