Helen Hamilton is an Instructor at the College of Nursing Health Sciences Center at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Helen earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Boston University. At Boston University, Helen's course of studies was focused on child psychiatric nursing. Helen has eighteen years of teaching experience at the College of Nursing in the areas of psychiatric-mental health, community health, family, and nursing management. In addition, she has eleven years experience as Director of Nursing with psychiatric hospital settings. Helen's clinical areas of interest include children's mental health care, recruitment/retention of minority and disadvantaged nursing students, and culturally competent care delivery. |
