Judith has worked for the College of Nursing since 2002 as a Clinical Educator. She teaches in the undergraduate and RN-BSN programs with a concentration in Community Health. She also teaches in the graduate program in the administrative track. She received her masters with a concentration in administration from the UNM College of Nursing in 1986. Following her graduation, she began her own business as a management consultant and interim administrator to medical practices, community health centers, and other health care entities. She continues to consult with health service organizations about issues of reimbursement, management, and other business-related areas. Judith’s clinical practice experiences have been in the area of psychiatric, public health, and emergency nursing.

Judith has a long-standing interest in providing services to rural and underserved areas and works with the UNM HSC Rural Health Interdisciplinary Program to further that goal. The aim of the program is to provide problem based interdisciplinary learning during the spring semester and during the summer the students are placed in rural communities for their clinical experience. Judith has facilitated undergraduate nursing student placements in Farmington, Shiprock, Gallup, Taos, Espanola, and Las Vegas.
