Residents and Medical Students
Welcome to the Pediatric Emergency Department Rotation
Included on the web site are several documents: the Orientation Booklet and three Albuquerque Fire Department forms. To open and view these documents, click on the buttons below. They will open in Adobe Acrobat Reader where they may be viewed and printed. Everyone must read the Orientation Booklet to find out your requirements for completion of this rotation.
Rotation Schedule: The published schedule is final. If you have received the schedule and feel you need certain days off, please work out a swap with an appropriate level. The HOIIs and HOIIIs can swap with each other, the HOIs can swap, and the Students can swap. If you need out of a shift and can do another one that is blank, please contact me first. Please notify Annette Lucero at Anlucero@salud.unm.edu preferred, and if needed by phone 272-5526, with any swaps or questions. If for some reason, you cannot show up for a shift, please contact the attending.
Poison Center: Contact Leslie Easom at 272-4261 between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm Monday through Friday to set up each 2 hr session.
All Off Service HOIs: The AFD forms must be filled out and submitted if you are to do aride-a-long. Please contact Mark Garcia of the Albuquerque Fire Department at 934-1375(cell) or by FAX at 833-7318 to set up a date and time for the ride-a-long.
Students: When you have completed your rotation please fill out the faculty evaluation form at our website. Go to: http://hsc.unm.edu/emermed/
- Select the Surveys Evaluations button located on the bottom portion of the screen
- Select the Undergraduate Rotation Evaluation button and
- Fill out and submit the form.
