   VSNEMS News and Updates

VSNEMS is a dynamic project in progress. Check this section frequently for news, updates and additions.

  • As of May 13, 2009 ALL VSNEMS modules are automated. The learning is always FREE!  Payment for nationally approved, professional CE,  is now online with credit card and CE registration is followed by an automated certificate generated from the registration information entered into our database. You must be at a computer with a printer to print a certificate after registration. Menu item "My VSNEMS Modules" track the modules you have CE registered. This tracking system is not retroactive and begins May 13, 2009 for all modules. Module 1, however, is tracking from 9/9/08, module 2 from 11/26/08, and module 3 from 3/25/09.
  • Our modules are nationally CE approved for Nurses and EMS personnel. Nursing CE hours are approved by the New Mexico Nurses' Association, an accredited approver of the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. EMS CE is approved by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS). CE is available for modules 1 - 10, 12 - 15. Module 11 is not an approved module because it is a short module less than 1 hour and does not qualify.
  • There is a administrative fee of $5.00 per CE for all VSNEMS modules. NM EMS receive NM EMS Bureau approved CE and is free and valid for NM EMS personnel only.
  • We hope to provide new modules to add to the course, so check back periodically as additional funding for the school nurse program is awarded.
  • Visit the Course Directory Now and begin a module today. Remember the education is always FREE.
  • Issues with CE certificates or any technical problems with our modules or web pages email

   Getting Started

  • VSNEMS uses streaming video technology, so you do not have to download the content. With a broadband internet connection, most users  simply go to the VSNEMS Course Directory, click a module title or graphic and begin. The module opens with a short animated graphic introduction. To navigate through the pages of the module, use the control panel in the right lower corner and click an arrow button to next, previous or beginning page.
  • If you need technical assistance, the Technical System Requirements page will explain the minimum system requirements to view the course. Please read this section carefully. If you continue to have problems, there is a contact email on the page for further assistance.
