EMS Education

EM residents are required to give at least one lecture at an approved venue to emergency medical technicians during the course of their residency. PowerPoint presentations and lecture outlines will be made available to the instructor. If the resident wishes to prepare his or her own presentation, it must first be reviewed and approved by appropriate faculty. Residents are encouraged, but not required, to participate in EMT practical testing. Approved venues include:

  • Paramedic class at EMS Academy.
  • Paramedic class at AFD.

  • Other venues may be appropriate, but must be approved by Dr. Cheney, Dr Rimple or Dr. Weiss.
