UNM Department of Emergency Medicine- Residents' Biographies

Angela Bell

After completing my first year of residency, I am glad I chose to continue my medical education at UNM.  It has been a great intern year full of lots of new colleagues and friends and many great experiences.  I can’t say that I’m not glad that it is over though!!

I am originally from Bucks County Pennsylvania, but moved West to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder graduating with a degree in Biology.  Prior to medical school, I spent a few years living and skiing in Taos and working as a clerk in the Emergency Department at UNM.  My husband Roger, a native New Mexican, has also been glad we decided to stay close to family, sopapillas and green chile.  Even though it was a year full of hard work and long hours, we still found some free time to enjoy skiing as well as camping and hiking with our three rescued pound puppies!

I am extremely happy to be in New Mexico in this beautiful state working with great people.  I grew up in Boise Idaho and have lived in several other locations nationally and internationally.  Most of my time is spent with my three children and wife exploring New Mexico and its varied beauty.  My children are taking onto whitewater rafting and my wife and I enjoy all the mountain biking and skiing New Mexico has to offer.  Working at UNM has been challenging and full of all the excitement I expected from a great EM program.

Jennifer Hall

Hi! My name is Jenny.  I am originally from the beautiful mountain city of Missoula Montana.  Interesting tidbits about me are that I graduated from the University of Montana (go grizzlies), I have been to six of seven continents (minus Antarctica), I am a hotshot wild land firefighter and a domestic violence counselor.  Since I could not be a firefighter forever, I decided to pursue my other love, medicine.  Medical school brought me to the Land of Enchantment and I stayed for residency.  I am married to a wonderful man, Dave, who is a stay at home dad of our 2 year old son, Gabriel, and a second one that is on the way in July. Internship has been everything I thought it would be and it is even more fun with pregnancy.
