Kari Peterson
Hello
everyone! My name is Kari and I was born and raised in the small Eastern
Washington town of Wenatchee, known as the "Apple Capital of the World".
Being the younger of 2 daughters, I learned all the tricks from my older
sister and gave my parents a few gray hairs before leaving Wenatchee to
attend college at Washington State University. (As you can tell from the
picture my husband and I are HUGE Cougar fans!!) After college I married
my wonderful husband, Lance, and worked as an ED tech before moving to
Seattle for medical school. We have loved living in Seattle for 5 years
with the mountains, San Juan Islands, vibrant culture, etc,......but are
ecstatic for a move to more sun and less rain! We have a very independent
2 year old daughter named Makena and an old adopted cat that sleeps about
23 hours a day. The phrase "work hard, play hard" best describes my
personality as we love to enjoy life outside of work by camping, fishing,
attending sporting events, and of course wrestling with Makena!

Drew
Southard
Hi
everyone,
My name is Drew Southard, and I spent most of my important years growing
up outside of Denver in the mountain town of Evergreen, Colorado. Not a
bad place to be if you love climbing, mountain biking, rafting and other
outdoor activities. I naturally migrated to CU Boulder for undergrad and
then spent sometime as a firefighter and river guide in Colorado, Alaska,
and the Pacific Northwest. Somewhere between living in the back of my
truck and traveling around the world, I decided medicine would be an
interesting career. Since then, life has really taken off! My wife,
Jenny, will be doing family medicine residency at UNM and we are both
really excited about heading down south to Albuquerque. We look forward
to getting to know all of you great people and having many adventures
together!

Arthur Sullivan
I was
raised in New Hampshire where I grew up hiking and learning how to ski ice
in the White Mountains. I went to college at the University of
Pennsylvania and received my BA in Biological Basis of Behavior in 2002.
After college, I took a year off to pursue my dream of leading backpacking
trips and serving coffee, but I gave it all up to go to medical school. In
my spare time I enjoy playing most sports with the exception of lawn
darts, cricket, and curling. I like going to live shows and finding new
bands. My favorite ways to procrastinate are crossword puzzles, online
chess, and any fantasy league I can get into. I’m not proud of it but I
once joined a fantasy Nascar league. I’m looking forward to coming to New
Mexico because it’s a part of the country I’ve never lived in before. I’m
particularly excited about skiing Taos, having my first bad experience
with a chile pepper, and digging pot holes on Albuquerque’s municipal golf
courses. See you around!
