Hometown:
Traverse City, MI
Why Albuquerque:
1. It’s a well
respected program 2. Everyone I’ve met so far seems well adjusted and
happy to be here 3. 300 sunny days a year and mountains… hard to beat.
.....Anything else interesting:
After 4 great
years in Cleveland, I have to admit that I’m ready for the sun of the
Southwest. A northerner for most of my life, I grew up in Traverse City,
MI, spent a couple years outside of Washington DC at boarding school and
then headed back to the Midwest for college. After graduating I drove up
to Alaska to find work, adventure, and of course lots of outdoor fun.
After a year of fishing, mushing and carpentry I was pulled back to
reality when I started med school at Case. In the past 4 years I’ve had
to get creative to spend time outdoors but I’ve found great “mountain”
biking trails around Ohio and have taken the occasional trip back up to
Alaska to visit friends. I’ve been playing around with music for a long
time and recently have been trying to do a bit of electronic music with
varied success. I’m excited about the move and this next step in the
surreal experience of becoming a physician. I look forward to meeting
and working with all of you and exploring a new part of the country.
