.....Anything else interesting:
Just married on 5/24/08 to
my fun and beautiful new wife Alex!
I’m a
native New Mexican born right here in Albuquerque, or The Burque, as us
locals call it. After graduating a Valley High School Viking, I headed
off to the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!) to continue my
education. At OU, I studied Chemical Engineering and was also a
letterman on the Track and Field team. Although I had pondered a career
in medicine during my years at OU, with my Chemical Engineering BS in
hand I decided to accept a position with DuPont in Victoria, TX. My
experience in corporate America was definitely enriching, but after
three years the call to pursue my dream of becoming a physician brought
me back to New Mexico for medical school. I was extremely happy to make
my way back home, and am thrilled to be here at UNMH for residency.
After experiencing a few different places in this world, I truly
appreciate the originality and spirit of this state. I usually fill my
free time with sports, exercise, dancing, anything outdoors, movies,
family, friends, food, and my cool new wife Alex. I’m looking forward
to meeting everyone, and delving into the challenges and adventures of
emergency medicine.
