Interests: Pediatric EMS and Transport Medicine, Sports Medicine.

I am a native New Mexican, grew up in Albuquerque and trained at UNM for both undergrad and medical school.  After residency and fellowship, I took a faculty position at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  I decided to return home after four years at Mayo (or four cold Minnesota winters) to be closer to family and for our beautiful weather.  I am excited to be starting the new Peds Emergency Medicine Fellowship and thoroughly enjoy teaching students and residents (and fellows soon).  I also enjoy teaching and working with EMS providers.  Outside of work, I love to cycle, fly fish, boat and spend time with my family.  During the summer, you can find me boating, camping, and hiking at Lake Powell.

I recently moved to Albuquerque in 2005 after my fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine and masters in pubic health at Brown University. Love the beauty of Southwest and enjoy being a part of a great group of talented and dedicated physicians. Love working with children inside and outside of the emergency medicine department. As my one of favorite quotes says, "I have a dream", I have followed my dreams all my life and have been fortunate in seeing many of them come true. I hope to help many children to see their dreams come true as well.
