DIRECTOR, PEM FELLOWSHIP
Med
School: University of New Mexico
Residency: Phoenix Children's Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center

Interests: Pediatric EMS and Transport Medicine,
Sports Medicine.
I am a
native New Mexican, grew up in Albuquerque and trained at UNM for both undergrad
and medical school. After residency and fellowship, I took a faculty
position at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. I decided to return home
after four years at Mayo (or four cold Minnesota winters) to be closer to family
and for our beautiful weather. I am excited to be starting the new Peds
Emergency Medicine Fellowship and thoroughly enjoy teaching students and
residents (and fellows soon). I also enjoy teaching and working with EMS
providers. Outside of work, I love to cycle, fly fish, boat and spend time
with my family. During the summer, you can find me boating, camping, and
hiking at Lake Powell.

beauty of Southwest and enjoy being a part of a great group of talented and
dedicated physicians. Love working with children inside and outside of the
emergency medicine department. As my one of favorite quotes says, "I have a
dream", I have followed my dreams all my life and have been fortunate in seeing
many of them come true. I hope to help many children to see their dreams come
true as well.
