Healing Lifestyles for Pre-Diabetes and Diabetes

Would you like to have abundant energy and enjoy life to its fullest? Would you like to have support on this journey to overcome limitations? In this six-week, online series, Nicole White, Certified Holistic Health Coach, will guide you through healthful and healing options to relieve Type II diabetes symptoms and symptoms for other sugar-related issues, naturally. Create a bio-individual plan revolved around cooking, eating out, work, social situations and cravings. You will learn how to control your blood sugar. This is not a diet – this is an action plan for healthy living and thriving for the rest of your life.

Registration for full course is $250 and eligible for University of New Mexico employee tuition remission under Personal Enrichment. The fee for course book (Upgradeology: Upgrade Your Food, Upgrade Your Life) is $19.99 and due to instructor on the first day of class or can be purchased through Amazon. $50 to repeat class. All online sessions will be recorded and available for playback.

How to Beat the Sugar and Gluten Blues

In this six-week live and online course, learn how to curb that sugar and gluten addiction for good and gain your health and well-being back. Feel more energized, think clearer, release allergies, heal, lessen your medication intake and notice a decrease in weight and bloating in three weeks. 

The first session meets on-site at UNM Center for Life from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The second and third sessions are "shopping tours" at two separate grocery stores designated by the instructor from 10:00-11:00 a.m. (sessions may run longer). During the shopping tours, you will learn how to correctly read/interpret food labels and learn about the many healthy and delicious options available. Remaining 3 sessions will be conducted online from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Six-week course includes:

  • Understand the effects of sugar and how it affects your mood, health and the environment
  • Learn how to heal without any diets or deprivation
  • A step-by-step guide to show you how to kick the sugar and gluten blues
  • Recipes for delicious sweets and treats using natural sweeteners
  • How to heal on a budget and even save money
  • Shopping and eating out guides
  • How to handle social gatherings centered around food and sweets
  • Informational handouts
  • Samples of natural and healthy sugar substitutes
  • Snacks and samples during the first class
