- Is the only federally-designated resource library to serve the
health information needs of New Mexico.
- Serves the Colleges of Pharmacy and Nursing as well as the
School of Medicine, Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program, and
Diagnostic & Therapeutic Sciences Programs.
- Serves approximately 9,000, including faculty, students, staff and
preceptors across the state; services are available 24 hours a day
via the Internet; wireless provides network access throughout the library building
- Open 357 days a year, digital access 24/7.
- Over 200 health-related organizations and individual health professionals
throughout New Mexico receive specialized services through outreach memberships
and other programs.
- HSLIC Distance Services provided over 41 outreach courses serving 2,551 learners.
- The Learning Design Center generated 19 online courses and 26 in class courses
reaching over 14,000 learners.
- In FY08, electronic materials were used 6.0 million times; print materials were used
more than 22,457 times; and over 7,000 reference transactions were completed.
- HSLIC provides technology Support services including email/calendaring,
a Microsoft Office SharePoint Services collaboration system, over 28 terabytes
of centralized shared file space, and full-lifecycle support for almost
3,500 desktop and laptop computers.
