The Native Health Database contains historic and current citations and abstracts of health-related articles, reports, surveys, and other documents pertaining to the health and health care of American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Canadian First Nations.
MedlinePlus® Go Local
MedlinePlus Go Local is an online directory of health-related service providers that can be used to find services on a particular health topic or in a particular region. Two Go Local resources provide directory listings for New Mexico:
- New Mexico Health Connection (covers all of New Mexico)
- Tribal Connections Four Corners Go Local (covers tribal areas within the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado)
Outreach Connections: Native Health Information Wiki
Outreach Connections: Native Health Information Wiki provides a collaborative space on the Internet for librarians, patient educators, and others providing health information to Native peoples and their caregivers to exchange health information, resources, and training experiences. The information included on the wiki pertains to American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians.
Collection Development
Distance Services will provide collection development assistance in the areas of health and medicine to organizations within New Mexico, including Native nations, upon request.
