Library Responsibilities

• Director, Biomedical Informatics Research, Training and Scholarship unit at HSLIC.
• Manager for the Biomedical Informatics Training Program
• Course Director for biomedical informatics classes, UNM Clinical and Translational Sciences Center Masters of Science in Clinical Research Program
• Conduct externally funded Biomedical Informatics research
• Support the integration of Biomedical Informatics into the curriculums of the School of Medicine, the College of Pharmacy, and the College of Nursing
• Help teach evidenced-based medicine in the School of Medicine curriculum
• Participate in the HSC’s Knowledge Management and Information Technology initiatives
• Participate in the planning and evaluation of clinical computing at the UNM Hospitals as a member of the Cerner Implementation Committee
• Perform clinical and teaching duties as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine
• Library Liaison to: Family and Community Medicine
