About Full Text in PubMed

Links exist in PubMed to the full text of journals licensed by HSLIC.

To access full text: After a search, display the PubMed AbstractPlus, Abstract or Citation format.  Link icons will appear if HSLIC has purchased access to the full text.


  indicates a link to the full text of the article.

  indicates a link to the Library catalog for print holding information.

  or   indicate open access journals; the contents are freely accessible.

, for example, is a publisher icon.  If the publisher icon is not accompanied by a UNM full text or print icon the link will take you to the publisher's site where you cannot access the full text of the article.  This is because HSLIC has not purchased a license for that journal.  The publisher will likely give you the option to purchase access to the item with a credit card.  HSLIC is not responsible for any purchases made via this method.

About Full Text in CINAHLPlus or IPA
Links exist in EbscoHost CINAHLPlus and IPA to the full text of articles in those journals licensed by HSLIC or University Libraries.

To access full text: When viewing search results, click on "Check for Journal Full Text" or click on the icon.   If full text is available, the publisher's page should display will full text options.

If full text is not available, a screen will appear with links to the main campus eJournal Finder, the HSLIC catalog (for print), and HSLIC Interlibrary Loan.


About Full Text in SciSearchPlus
Links exist in SciSearchPlus to the full text of articles in those journals licensed by HSLIC or University LIbraries

To access full text: When viewing search results, click on "Test Full Text Linker" or the "GR Linker" icon .  If a full text link is available, the link will be under the "Direct Access to Article" header.  Click on the "Your article from:" link; the publisher's page should display and provide a button to view the PDF of the article.
