MOODLE
- MOODLE is an Open Source course management system (CMS). UNM uses
MOODLE to provide online training to healthcare providers and students
located outside of the UNM Health Sciences Center. You can learn
more about MOODLE by clicking here:

http://moodle.health.unm.edu.
Learning Central
- Learning Central
is the web-based, learning management system that was implemented in
December of 2005 by UNM and UNM Hospitals to administer and distribute
professional development training programs to all employees including
faculty, staff and physicians.
If you are preparing an online training module for faculty and staff, a
face-to-face workshop, or other learning events, you may want to find
out more about Learning Central. At the Health Sciences Center, your
contact for more information is Jon Eldredge, PhD with the Health
Sciences Library and Informatics Learning Design Center at 505-272-0654.
Banner Securing Private Data (Web Course)
- This online module was designed for all UNM faculty and staff.
TeleHealth Online Program Planning Tool
- This online resource will guide telehealth providers through complex
program planning and decisionmaking.
HSC GroupWise
- These animated tutorials are designed for all UNM faculty and staff who
use GroupWise email and calendar software. Users learn how to log in,
change passwords and customize the display.
GME Online Modules: Evidence- Based Medicine 101, Wellness, Patient Safety, Clinical Ethics, Research
Methods, Reproductive Genetics
- Originally offered as a WebCT
course, LDC revised these courses for implementation in
Learning Central.
WebCT Vista
- WebCT Vista streamlines course management for
faculty and offers capabilities to help improve student outcomes.
Faculty packets are available to help guide faculty. For information on

Tobacco Cessation
- A CD-based overview of tobacco dependence and the techniques of
intervention, designed for people who may have limited amounts of
time to study. Embedded within the modules are links to additional
courses from several medical schools.

with avatars. Librarians, educators, and students have an increasing
