NM/SW Books [Photo]

The New Mexico/Southwest Collection is a group of materials—monographs, reports, studies, dissertations, and theses—that document healthcare in the state and the region. General subject areas include ethnobotany, health statistics, alternative and traditional medicines, memoirs, biographies and autobiographies of New Mexican and regional healthcare professionals.

Available to researchers and the general public, these non-circulating books may be browsed and used in the New Mexico Health Historical Collection room (223) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 – 5:00 or by appointment. The following book reviews highlighting traditions of the Southwest offer a glimpse into the materials available.
