Everyone knows the story of Frankenstein. Or do they? One of the most enduring stories of the Western world — Mary Shelley's Frankenstein — is the focus of an exciting traveling exhibit from the National Library of MedicineŽ. The exhibit, hosted by the Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center, is on display March 10-May 31, 2008, in the Domenici Center for Health Sciences Education. The exhibit is open to the public: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m
Building upon the themes raised in the exhibit, the companion lecture series will examine the role of the individual in society through the bioethical implications of such topics as scientific discovery, genetic information ownership, extending life, neurosystems engineering, and organ donation.
