UpToDate/Citrix Access Change

Due to UpToDate license requirements, users are no longer able to access UpToDate from within Powerchart. Access UpToDate on campus (or from a UHMH off-site clinic) is available in the one of the following ways:

From a networked PC in your UNM (or from a UHMH off-site clinic) office:

To access from within Citrix:

  • Login to the Citrix Program Neighborhood
  • Click Refresh
  • Open the Applications folder
  • Click on the UpToDate icon (a browser will open to the UpToDate site)
  • Accept the Terms and conditions of the Subscription and License Agreement.
  • Proceed with your search

To access from the Library Web Site:

  • Minimize your Citrix Window
  • Open a new browser session from your windows start menu (you cannot use the browser from within Citrix)
  • Go to the Library's Database Page (http://hsc.unm.edu/library/databases.shtml) and go to UpToDate.
  • Go to the UpToDate link to access (you can bookmark this link and make a desktop shortcut if you like).

From a Winterm in your office On-Campus (or from a UHMH off-site clinic):

  • Access the UpToDate icon located on the winterm desktop (you cannot use the browser from within Citrix)
  • A window will open to the UpToDate site.

Look for this UpToDate Icon:
