Static IP Addresses and/or DNS Name Registration Request

We will issue static IP addresses for devices meeting the following conditions:

  • A server - so that users can connect to it by hostname. Example: a website
  • A printer - so that client PCs can connect to it by hostname.
  • A device that can’t be configured for DHCP.
  • A device that is accessed by a software package requiring a static IP for licensing purposes.
Additionally,
  • A full-time faculty or staff member must sponsor the device.
  • The sponsor agrees to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to secure the device.
  • The device conforms to established naming conventions.

The information you provide in the following form will be forwarded to the HSLIC TECHS group. You will then be contacted regarding your request. Please provide all the information requested in the form.
