We are going to implement a new IP range on the plaza level of HSLIC on Sunday May 11, 2008 from 8-11 am. The purpose of this change is to separate the staff machines using dynamic addresses from servers, printers and other devices using static address, as well from the public machines using dynamic addresses for better security and management. For staff machines on the floor, there will be a short time of network interruption and the machines will need to be rebooted to obtain a new IP address. For servers, printers and other static devices as well the public machines, there is NO change but we may move some of their ports between switches so we can physically separate all static devices from the dynamic staff devices.
