Office 2007 Deployment Plan


Office 2007 will be made available at the HSC beginning August 1, 2007. Departmental technical staff can install the software for their departments. The helpdesk can take individual requests for departments without technical staff.

New computers or those that are to be re-imaged after October 1, 2007 will have Office 2007.

When we release Windows Vista in November 2007, we will only offer Office 2007 on all systems.

After that we will begin transitioning all of our Vista capable images to Vista and Office 2007. Once that is complete, we will update our XP images with Office 2007. All new image/re-image request will have Office 2007.

We will have both versions of Access on all images. We will remove Access 2003 from our all of our images in October 2008.
